Pregnant women receive malaria drugs

The Ntungamo Municipality Member of Parliament (MP) in Western Uganda, Hon Musinguzi Yona Bikwasizehi, has donated malaria drugs to 17 areas in his constituency.

Musinguzi, represented by his political assistant Baguma Domiano, said the drugs were to fight malaria within children and pregnant women, the groups most affected by it.

The MP made the donation yesterday (17 November 2011) to areas including Kikoni, Kabingo, Nyamisha, Nyabubare, Nyakeina, Nyakibigi, Nyakasa, Mpaama, Rukindo and Kyanju.

This is the second time the MP has delivered malaria drugs to these areas. MP Bikwasizehi said he will keep on donating malaria drugs to the residents in his constituency every after three month a way to prevent malaria.

Drugs that were donated include Coartem, Panadol, Aspirin and Camadol.

Domiano said he is making the donation to help pregnant women and children fight the disease so they can live healthier lives.
