Charles Pensulo is a Malawian based journalist. He graduated in 2013 with a diploma from Malawi Institute of Journalism and joined the Key Correspondents network while still at school.

He is interested in reporting on HIV and other health related stories. He developed an interest in reporting these stories after seeing how everyone around him is either affected by or infected with the virus and how it is presenting a burden in society.

But wait a minute; reporting on HIV has got its own challenges. There are still people who believe that revealing one’s status is a crime, hence it is not easy to find sources for stories. But unless this kind of mentality is removed, achieving an AIDS free society will still be a problem.

Charles is an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction stories. He is also a social media junkie, where he keeps abreast of what is happening in the world.
